Why USE A TORRENT SERVER?
-In BitTorrent, as in most p2p protocols, how fast you download from other users depends on how fast you upload to them. If your home connection has a 50 Mb/s download speed and 300 Kb/s upload stream, your upload limits your download. Our servers have a symmetric connection of 100 Mb/s.
-Our servers are always on, downloading and uploading at full speed - it saves your the trouble of keeping your computer on when you aren't using it.
-When you connect to a BitTorrent swarm, you are giving away your home IP address to the rest of the peers, so that they can connect to you. This is by itself a privacy concern. When using a server, it's the server IP that gets published in the swarm, while yours keeps private.
-By Having a server do all the heavy lifting, your bandwidth remains available for your own use. Browsing, watching videos, and so on, is much faster when there are no p2p programs using the line.
